Table tennis competition @ APEX |
Four B.Tech students of the institute participated in the Technology Festival of IIT Kharagpur (Kshitij 2009) held from 29th Jan to 1st Feb 2009.Two students won the SECOND prize in the Robotix event (12 Doors down). The students are: Saurav Kumar and Gaurav Kumar (both B.Tech 2nd semester).
A team of APEX MBA students participated in the DRIEMS Business School Management Festival on 7th Feb, 2009. The APEX team got the SECOND PRIZE in the BIZ QUIZ.

Himalayan Trekking: Students of Apex Institute of Technology & Management participated in the grueling Himalayan Trekking (Cycling) from June 3-17, 2009. The students also got a taste of real adrenaline pumping adventure in the river crossing and rafting. The program was in collaboration with the YMCA in the upper Himalalyan region of Kulu-Manali.

Parasailing: About 50 students of Apex took to the skies on 30th Nov, 2008 to get a taste of what birds see from up there. The parasailing event from the Apex Adventure Club was memorable – an unbelievable flight by our Principal, Prof Ramesh Das.

| Eco-Walk: About 100 students of APEX participated in eco-walk of over 15 kms through the forests of Chandaka Elephant Sanctuary near Bhubaneswar on Feb 1st, 2009. Apart from testing of the strenuous physical stamina, the students also appreciated the need for conservation of flora and fauna and protection of our heritage.

Zephyr: The annual cultural event of Apex, ZEPHYR -08 was celebrated with full masti, magic and masala on 28th Feb, 2009. The event of one full day consisted of Quizzes, Dumb Charade, Songs, Dances, (Classical/Modern) and a variety of plays and skits, topped by a Fashion Show followed by an extravagant Fireworks display.

| Asim Abinash Memorial Engineers Cup 08: The cricket team of Apex participated for the first time in the Inter College Asim Memorial Cup 08 held at Berhampur Stadium on Feb 19-22, 2009. The team won applause and a trophy for its performance and team spirit.

| Literary Day: Apexians took to a massive exercise in Creative Story Writing, Collage Competitions, Debate and Essay Competitions on 11th April, 09. Talent was discovered and amply rewarded by prizes.
